昨(13)日晚間9時04分，一輛隸屬於台北市蝶戀花旅行社的遊覽車，行經國道五號接國道三號南下往木柵轉彎處，疑因車速過快、司機疲勞駕駛，失控擦撞護欄後翻覆，造成33人死亡，也是近30年來最嚴重的公路事故。

這起遊覽車翻覆意外，引起國內外關注，日本《時事通信》、《朝日新聞》等主流媒體都在第一時間報導。但對於此事，日本網友直言「不意外」，表示「台灣的公車或計程車司機開車都很凶狠，這樣亂來的駕駛方式，會發生事故並不意外。」

不過也有日本網友表示，「去年輕井澤也發生過遊覽車翻車，導致15人死亡的事故，大家都是花錢買安全，希望業者別一昧減低價格競爭」、「為不幸罹難的受害者們祈福，R.I.P」。

美聯社報導熱賣商品英文，美國賓夕法尼亞州著名的土撥鼠菲爾(Punxsutawney Phil)今天(2日)早上鑽出來的時候，看到自己的影子，因此，預期冬天還要6個星期才會結束。

這是根據彭格蘇塔維尼土撥鼠俱樂部(Punxsutawney Groundhog Club)內圈人士，在今天日出之後透露的消息。

根據傳統，如果菲爾在2月2日土撥鼠日這天鑽出來時看見自己的影子，冬天將繼續在北美持續6個星期；而如果早上多雲，菲爾沒看見牠的影子，春天就不遠了。

事實上，菲爾的預測都由賓州西部彭格蘇塔維尼(Punxsutawney)火雞丘(Gobbler's Knob)的俱樂部事先決定。

火雞丘位在匹茲堡(Pittsburgh)東北方大約65英里處。

這項紀錄可以追溯到1887年，顯示土撥鼠菲爾已經預測了103次冬天，其中只有18次是春天會提早報到，包括去年。

每年2月2日，人口只有大約6千人的彭格蘇塔維尼，都會擁入多達3萬人，他們戴著土撥鼠帽與圍巾，舉著祈求冬天儘快結束的標語，來這裡等待菲爾預測春天何時到來。
